CAREERS
Do the best work of your career, in production
Mifa is 400+ senior engineers who chose depth over headcount. Small pods, hard problems, systems that ship to real users at real enterprises — and a culture that treats seniority as a responsibility to teach.
CULTURE
Senior by design, small on purpose
Most consultancies scale by hiring junior and billing senior. We refused that model from day one. The average Mifa engineer has more than seven years of experience, works in a pod of three to six, and owns decisions end to end — architecture, implementation, and the conversation with the client when trade-offs get hard.
That structure shapes everything else. There are no layers of delivery managers between you and the problem. Code review is a craft we take seriously, not a bottleneck. And because our engagements transfer capability to client teams, teaching is part of the job description at every level — the engineers who thrive here like making other people better.
The work itself is the draw: governed agent systems for banks, document intelligence for insurers, data platforms that move real freight. You will ship to production at organizations most engineers only read case studies about, with evaluation and safety practices that hold up under audit.
BENEFITS
Compensation you don't have to negotiate for
Benefits are consistent for every role — adjusted for local systems, never for local bargaining power.
Top-quartile compensation
Salary benchmarked to the 75th percentile of your market, annual profit share, and equity for senior roles. Reviewed every year, not when you threaten to leave.
10% research time
Half a day a week for AI Labs experiments, open-source contributions, or deep learning of your own choosing — protected on the schedule, not theoretical.
Remote-first flexibility
Work from our Hyderabad hub or fully remote in supported regions. Hardware budget, home-office stipend, and no surveillance software, ever.
Health, fully covered
Premium medical, dental, and vision for you and dependents in every region we operate, plus mental-health support and a no-questions wellness budget.
$4,000 learning budget
Conferences, certifications, courses, books — plus internal guilds and a mentorship ladder pairing every engineer with someone two levels ahead.
Real time off
Minimum-vacation policy (yes, minimum: 25 days), a paid sabbatical month every four years, and parental leave that doesn’t depend on your jurisdiction’s floor.
HIRING PROCESS
Four steps, three weeks, zero puzzles
We designed the process we wished we'd interviewed through: fast, respectful of your time, and predictive of the actual job.
Application review
A practicing engineer from the relevant team reads every application — no keyword filters, no AI triage. You hear back either way.
Technical conversation
A deep discussion about systems you've actually built: decisions, trade-offs, failures. No whiteboard puzzles, no memorized algorithms.
Working session
You pair with your future teammates on a realistic problem from our domain — with docs, search, and AI tools available, exactly like the job.
Values interview & offer
A candid two-way conversation with a practice lead about how we work, followed by a written offer within 48 hours. Total process: under three weeks.

Design and ship production LLM systems for enterprise clients — retrieval pipelines, agent orchestration, evaluation harnesses, and inference optimization. You will own architecture decisions on client engagements and mentor engineers across two or three delivery pods.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years building production ML or backend systems; 2+ years with LLM applications in production
- Deep familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, vector stores, and prompt/context engineering
- Hands-on experience with at least one agent framework (LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or custom orchestration)
- Strong Python plus one of TypeScript, Go, or Java
- Experience designing evaluation suites — offline evals, regression gates, human-in-the-loop review
- Client-facing communication skills: you can defend an architecture to a CTO
Lead the internal delivery platform used by 40+ client teams: golden-path templates, multi-account AWS/Azure landing zones, GitOps pipelines, and cost guardrails. This is a build-and-influence role — you set standards that hundreds of engineers follow.
What we're looking for
- 8+ years in infrastructure, SRE, or platform engineering
- Expert-level Kubernetes, Terraform, and at least two major clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Track record building internal developer platforms or golden paths at scale
- Fluency with GitOps tooling (Argo CD or Flux) and progressive delivery
- Security-first mindset: IAM design, network segmentation, supply-chain hardening
- Written communication strong enough to publish standards other teams adopt willingly
Build document intelligence and language systems for financial services and healthcare clients — classification, extraction, summarization, and fine-tuned domain models — with the rigor those industries demand.
What we're looking for
- 3+ years shipping NLP or ML systems to production
- Experience fine-tuning transformer models and evaluating them against business metrics
- Solid grounding in data pipelines: labeling workflows, dataset versioning, drift monitoring
- Python, PyTorch, and modern MLOps tooling (MLflow, Weights & Biases, or similar)
- Comfort working within regulated-industry constraints (PII handling, audit trails)
Deliver enterprise web applications end to end — React/Next.js frontends, typed API layers, and cloud-native backends — inside small senior pods where you own features from architecture through release.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of full-stack development on production systems
- Expert TypeScript; deep experience with React and Next.js App Router
- Backend fluency in Node.js plus one of Python, Go, or .NET
- Strong SQL and data-modeling instincts; experience with Postgres at scale
- Testing discipline: you write integration tests without being asked
- Experience in consulting or agency delivery is a plus, not a requirement
Own technical discovery and solution design for enterprise engagements — from first consultation through statement of work. You translate ambiguous business goals into architectures our delivery teams can build and our clients can run.
What we're looking for
- 8+ years across software engineering and architecture, with 3+ in client-facing roles
- Breadth across AI/ML, cloud (AWS or Azure), integration patterns, and data platforms
- Experience scoping and estimating multi-quarter delivery programs
- Ability to produce crisp architecture documents and present them to C-level stakeholders
- English fluency required
Automate build, deploy, and observability for client engagements. You will containerize legacy workloads, cut release cycles from weeks to hours, and instrument systems so incidents surface before customers notice.
What we're looking for
- 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure roles
- Strong CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps)
- Docker and Kubernetes in production; Helm or Kustomize
- Infrastructure as code with Terraform; scripting in Bash and Python
- Observability stack experience: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or Datadog
Design the interfaces through which enterprises operate AI systems — agent consoles, document-review workflows, analytics surfaces. You will run discovery with client users, ship high-fidelity designs in Figma, and pair with engineers through implementation.
What we're looking for
- 4+ years designing complex B2B or enterprise software
- A portfolio showing data-dense interfaces made clear, not just marketing pages
- Strong systems thinking: tokens, component libraries, accessibility as a default
- Experience conducting user research inside client organizations
- Working knowledge of what is cheap vs. expensive to build in modern web stacks
Run two to three concurrent enterprise engagements end to end: plans, budgets, risks, stakeholder communication, and outcomes. You are the client's single point of accountability and the delivery team's shield and advocate.
What we're looking for
- 6+ years in technical program or engagement management, ideally in consulting
- Track record delivering $1M+ software or AI programs on schedule
- Enough technical depth to challenge estimates and spot risk early
- Excellent written status communication — concise, honest, decision-oriented
- PMP, SAFe, or similar certifications welcome but not required
APPLY
One form, read by humans
Every application is reviewed by an engineer from the team you'd join. We respond to everyone within five business days — including the no's.
Tip: skip the cover letter formalities. Link to something you built and tell us what you’d change about it now — that conversation is what the first interview is made of.
